Notes:   The double-bladed saber of the mysterious Sith apprentice Darth Maul is an amazing accomplishment of technological wizardry.  The twin blade design allowed its user unprecedented control in his duels, enabling him to take on two Jedi at once.  In his first confrontation with the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn on Tatooine, Maul only wielded one blade.  However, in his final attack on Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi on Naboo, Maul wielded both blades with terrifying ability.  After slaying Jinn, Maul's saber was sliced in half by Kenobi's blade, a fate soon shared by Maul himself.  The remaining half of the Sith's weapon fell to its destruction at the bottom of the Theed Palace control shaft.

Lord Maul's saber boasts ten buttons, the most ever known to exist on a lightsaber.  With these, Maul can control blade activation and deactivation, individually or simultaneously, as well as beam height and power output for each blade.
